Delete a Word-O-Witz account

Request deletion — no app installation needed

Email us from the Google email you use to sign in to Word-O-Witz. Include your nickname and request deletion of your Word-O-Witz online account and associated records. If you cannot access that email, contact us to discuss another way to verify ownership. A nickname alone is not proof of ownership.

No email app opens? Send your request to zippster@zippsterstudios.com with the subject “Word-O-Witz account and data deletion request”. Opening this page or an email draft does not submit a request.

Delete game data inside the app

Open Leaderboard → Profile & privacy → Delete Word-O-Witz cloud data, then confirm. This removes your Word-O-Witz cloud profile, nickname, stored Daily and practice results, guesses, derived statistics and leaderboard records, clears pending uploads for that account on this device, and signs you out. Other games and the shared sign-in identity are not deleted.

Shared studio sign-in identity

Google sign-in uses a shared Zippster Studios identity hosted by Supabase. Tell us if you also want that identity and its associated authentication data deleted. We will verify ownership, explain any impact on other studio games and confirm the scope before carrying out the request. You do not need to delete your Google account. Signing in and joining again after deletion may create a new profile; sign out on other devices while we process your request.

Timing and separate records

Email requests are support-assisted, not instant. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days and will explain any legally permitted delay or necessary retention. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or payment details. Your support email is used to verify and process the request.

Local progress, streaks, settings and purchase status are separate: clear the app’s storage in Android settings to remove local records. Uninstalling alone does not delete cloud data, and cloud deletion does not cancel or refund purchases. Google manages payment, advertising and older Play Games records through its own privacy controls. Previously cached rankings on other devices can remain until those devices refresh.

Security, fraud-prevention or legally required records may be retained only when necessary; we will explain relevant exceptions. Restricted backups may remain until their normal expiry and are not used to restore a deleted profile to active service. We handle relevant provider deletion requests where we can identify the records.
